The St. Michael Parish Prayer Shawl Ministry brings together people who share a similar interest in knitting and crocheting for fellowship and prayer while using their giftedness to create prayer shawls, lap robes, baby blankets, and other items that will be given away to help spread the message of God's mercy, love, and compassion.
The Sacred Heart Ladies Guild invites all ladies of St. Michael Parish to attend our monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May, at Sacred Heart Hall in Hallowell. Started 60 years ago, the Ladies Guild invites all ladies of the parish to see what our group is all about and how we support St. Michael Parish.

With this year’s theme of “Living Water” and the Jubilee Year of Saint Francis of Assisi, we have planned a day beginning with Mass at the Grotto where we will renew our baptismal promises. We will gather in reflection, prayer, and celebration in St. John Hall after Mass. Our topics include “The Flow of Grace: Catholic Tradition, St. Francis, and Care for Creation, Celebrating the Success of Living Water in Maine, and Navigating the Waters.

St. Michael Parish partners with other faith communities to prepare and serve a free breakfast for our neighbors who are unhoused and others in need every third Saturday of the month at The Unitarian Universalist Community Church 69 Winthrop Street, Augusta. How Can I Help? You can help by: (1) volunteering for two hours to prepare, set-up, serve, or clean-up at a meal, (2) dropping-off homemade baked goods at a meal, or (3) making a monetary donation to the St. Michael Parish Food Ministry Programs.
