Leftovers? Any are served at the Sunday supper for the unhoused hosted by the folks from South Parish. St. Michael Parish Garden
Inspired by Pope Francis' Encyclical, Laudato Si, we had a dream to put our Faith into Action by creating a parish garden on the St Francis Xavier Church grounds to help provide healthy produce to those in need. Through the work of hundreds of volunteer hours we have been blessed to donate thousands of pounds of fresh produce to area food pantries, soup kitchens, and to parishioners in need.
How can I help?
Volunteer to plant, tend, and/or harvest the garden,
Plant a "row for the hungry" in your home garden and donate the produce to a local food pantry or combine it with the weekly harvest from the Parish Garden,
Make a monetary donation (click on the button above).
Good Afternoon Friends -
August was a busy month for all our Food Ministry Programs; breakfast, supper and the vegetable garden.
THANK YOU for volunteering, for putting your faith into action, to help in our programs to feed our friends and neighbors in need.
